Curbstone and Palisade

Granite kerbs and palisades frame roads, car parks, footpaths and planting beds, and black granite gives a sharper edge line than grey stone. We produce kerbs (curbstones), palisades, setts and bollards in Shanxi Black, Absolute Black, Mountain Black and dark grey G654.

• Kerbs: straight and curved, with chamfered or bevelled top edges. Common sizes include 1000x150x300 mm and 1000x200x300 mm, or we follow your local standard. Kerbs are usually quoted per cubic metre or per linear metre.
• Palisades: upright granite posts for edging and low retaining walls, sawn or split, polished or flamed.
• Setts: cobbles and setts such as 100x100x50 mm and 200x100x50 mm, sawn or split, for driveways and plazas.

Finishes: sawn, flamed, bush-hammered, pineapple (point-tooled), chiselled, rock-faced, sandblasted, honed and polished. Visible faces are usually flamed or bush-hammered, and hidden sides are left sawn or split to save cost.

Curved kerbs are cut to radius from your drawings. Send us the profile, lengths, radius and finish of each face, and we will quote and prepare shop drawings for approval.
