Mountain Black Granite

Mountain Black is the most economical black granite in our range. Its background is black with a slightly more visible grain than Shanxi Black, so it reads as a natural dark stone rather than a solid jet black. It is hard and dense, and suitable for both interior and exterior work.

The lower price makes Mountain Black a practical choice for large-area projects. It is used for paving slabs, setts and kerbs in streets and plazas, for wall cladding, steps and copings, and for floor tiles and countertops in budget-sensitive housing. Flamed and bush-hammered finishes give a textured dark grey surface with good slip resistance outdoors; polished pieces show a deeper black.
